So today I got around building my pc. Everything works fine ...

EXCEPT...

now Propellerhead Reason v4 won't recognize the controllers, sliders, knobs, faders on my PCR 800.

It was working just fine on Windows Vista but when I installed it on my new build it won't auto-detect the keyboard. So I had to use one of the "stock" settings...

The key's, pitch bend, and modulation wheel would work but not the pads or any other controllers.

Its getting on my last nerves b/c I thought Windows 7 was suppose to be better than this:rolleyes:

Anyways point being is:
does anyone have or know of a solution to this?

If so please help me.

I don't know wut "info" to give before you guys give answers so ask me them and I will give the answers to you as best as I can:)

Thank you!

i think your midi controller isn't installed.

Go to start, all programs... and find the installer for your midi controller.

OR

Start up reason, go to EDIT, PREFERENCES, KEYBOARDS AND CONTROLLERS AND AUTO DETECT OR ADD A CONTROLLER.

what version of windows are you using (32bit or 64bit)

Its installed, I had to download new drivers for it since it won't work with xp or vista drivers...

the problem is NOT that it's not installed the problem is the faders, sliders, and knobs aren't detected. They keys AND ONLY the keys work.

Im using the 32 bit version of Windows 7:)

BTW, thank you for responding guys!

Try loading the reason patch normally instead of reason downloading it on start up. Also, download midi ox and see exactly what the controls are sending (if anything)

Tried loading it normally but still the same thing:confused:

downloaded that midi ox ur talking about...

my keys work...my pads work along with modulation/pitch wheel...BUT my faders and sliders DONT work...

this is starting to get on my nerves...!

It works perfectly well on my laptop but on not on this new desktop? I wanna download the new updates for reason but I cant log into my old account since I forgot the password:mad::eek:

Im getting fustrated b/c the whole reason of me building the desktop was to have more juice to handle reason with no hiccups but now it won't even pick up the midi controller...

The Recording Gods must be cursing me for my deliquent past for bootlegging cool edit pro 2.1 back in 2004:(:o

What happens in midi ox when you go through your presets on the controller? Do the faders ever send anything? It should be sending a continuous controller.. Also try plugging it into another USB port and reinstalling the drivers
