Ok so I have a BG-1 from Mick, I am trying to make sure I set it up absolutely correctly for the best potential sound..

I have a Delta44 connected to my PC and want to attach the BG1 to the Delta44. The BG has XLR output and the Delta44 has all 1/4" Inputs. Do I need to get an XLR-TS cable for each of the BG1's outputs? Or do I need to use XLR-TRS.. the Delta can take balanced or unbalanced signals.

Once I get that setup and attach my mic to the BG1s XLR inputs in front, should I try to get the preamp to light up the green LED labeled "-3db" as long as it doesnt light up the Red "Over" LED?

How Should I adjust the knobs on the BG to get the optimal output to the computer? what should the computers meter read for DB? -18?

Also, should I set my Deltas software to -10 or +4?

You want XLR female to TRS (balanced) male cables to connect the BG-1 to the 1010.

As for the specifics on how to run the BG-1 properly, definitely follow Teddy's advice and contact Mick directly if you have any questions. It should be fairly straightforward though. Experiment a little and see if you can make it sound good to your ear-hole...

I did try contacting Mick but he must be busy or something because I have yet to get a response! Thats why I posted up here... it was last week when I E-mailed him, perhaps I am being impatient, but I think everyone here shares the same anxiety when only a little peice of knowledge is holding you back from getting things done!

Thanks Both of you for your responses, I will wait for Mick to reply, and in the meantime Ill get some balanced cables.
