Figured you guys would know how to do this, I cant remember anymore.
Buddy has a disk with some porno-ish stuff on it.
Put it in his XP computer. Used RUN--> BROWSE--> OPEN FILES to look at the little movies and stuff.
Now, when you click on the RUN thingy, it gives you the last thing you looked at automatically in the box, thats normal, Which is fine, he can open something else and its ok. BUT, and heres the big BUT... there is a little scroll menu that lists the last 25 or so things that he's looked at. He wants to clear that thing out so his girlfriend doesnt see it, as she will split atoms instantly.
Is there a way to clear that out? If so, help us out.
Peace.

whoopsie, sorry... i reread your post and thought you were talking about the media player scrollbar that shows you the last stuff you've watched. ahum.

Start regedit. Do a search for one of the naughty items, and it should return a key called RunMRU or something...you'll see all the items that appear in that run list. Delete all the naughty ones. Now log off and log back on...voila.

Look out because media player might have the files in its recently played list. You can clear it by just playing more stuff, or using the technique above.

Slackmaster 2000

This should do the trick.

Sure it's for a buddy:-)

To clear your recent documents list in XP:
1) Open the Control Panel
2) Select Taskbar and Start Menu
3) Click the "Customize" button.
4) Click the "Advanced" tab.
5) At the bottom you should see a Recent Documents section. There should also be a button to "Clear List"

Shazaam!

If "your buddy" was on some porn sites he may want to clear the Temporary internet files and History. (Go to Internet Options in IE explorer or your browswer.)

get ur buddy to tell his gf to leave his computer alone and u should download windows washer from download.com
works great

Those nasty little auto fills can get you in trouble. My ex went to do a search on Google and when she typed in a letter some girls name popped up. I had never heard of the name and have no idea who it was. But I still got to fight and listen to her bitch about it for days

I would suggest customizing the start bar so that neither "run" or recent documents exists there anymore.

Slackmaster is right. Just run regedit (not the porn again!) and search for that "RunMRU" string. All of the entries will appear. Instead of deleting the key, write anything else instead, like "wordpad\1". Then restart.
To erase it from Windows Media Player, search in your machine for "clearmru.exe". That deletes its recent list. If you can't find it, there's a way to do it manually:
