OK , I have a laptop with plenty of space , power etc..
Installed n-track studio, played around with recording from built in mic on computer. Of course that sounds like @#$%.
Bought a middle of the road condenser mic and a behringer UB802 mixer w/ preamp.
I want to record my acoustic guitar, some vocals, mandolin mostly unplugged stuff.
Here's where I'm at now. Do I just plug the mic into the preamp and the preamp into the line in mic input on the computer. Does the built in mic automatically cut off when the line in is fired up?
I'm going home tonight to start playing around with this stuff and any information would help and probably save me alot of time.
Thanks
Brian
