I am a bassist and new to the digital recording. I have been sequencing on Perfom
MOTU Performer for a few years. I am at the point where I now want
to record live bass and other instruments as well. I have always believed
that if you have a great del of inputs, you would have flexablity in
your mixes. I have a Mackie 32/4 VLZpro and looking to upgrade to a
digital mixer. I am an input freak and I do not see a great deal of inputs
in affordable digital mixers. I need to be directed to a source that can
educate me in the finer points of digital mixers t.g.i.f's s.p.i.d.f's and the like
I am using a Mac G4-400, MOTU Digital Performer 3.11, 2408 2, MTP 2,
seven pro keyboards and 1 drum machine using 4 outs on each plugged
into the Mackie 32VLZ. I need a crash course on how to use the audio
interface so that i can make an informed purchase of digital mixer and
audio interface expander to accomodate my need for a lot of inputs.
