help I can't record onto my computer with RP100

what am I doing wrong? all volumes are up, everything is connected right. I have a Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer. I tried it on other's laptops but still doesn't work?
 
I'm recording just fine with the RP-100 direct into the pc, and I have an onboard codec (soundcard).

Can you play other audio into the soundcard? Are you sure you have the track armed to record in the software?

i tried connecting a cassette player to line-in to convert tape music to mp3, but didn't work either.
 
Well, it sounds like the problem is with your soundcard. Assuming you have already tried to change all of the volume control settings on your desktop, try opening up the computer, taking the soundcard out and then inserting it again. Sometimes a soundcard that is not seated correctly will not function.

tried that too already...... in fact, I moved slots because I thought it was a resource problem. but still don't work. :(
