Thanks to all who voted for me for the Gearwire MVP Contest.
Surprisingly, I won!!!
From Gearwire: "And finally, the grand prize winner is Homestudioguy. He's the brand new owner of IK Multimedia's Total Studio Bundle, Steinberg's Cubase 4, and SONiVOX MUSE. Homestudioguy wanted to thank Gearslutz and Home Recording for all of the support."
Looks like a new computer is in the offing............

Thanks to you all for your votes!
According to Jaime Endick of Gearwire, my 3 software packages (Cubase 4, IK MultimediaTotal Studio Bundle, and SoniVox Muse) have been FedEx'd to me. Woo Woo! They have even sent me the FedEx tracking Number and the package appears to be headed my way!
The only issue to work out currently is what appears to be possible oversight by Gearwire on the actual prize value itself.
Gearwire advertised on June 19 and June 21 that the total GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE was to be worth $5000.00
(from Gearwire.com) Gearwire's Most Valuable Poster Contest: Five Thousand In Free Gear To A Single Winner-June 21, 2007
Enter Gearwire's Most Valuable Forum Poster Contest. You KNOW you want to! FIVE THOUSAND IN GEAR PRIZES to a single winner. Just name yourself or a helpful and informative forum poster in any gearhead forum you choose.
It's easy. It's fun. It's five grand worth of gear prizes in one big pile! "
In checking the Sweetwater, Zzounds and Musicians Friend websites, the advertised prices for the 3 software packages that I won come to a total of $2300 (of course, a package bundle for these 3 could be purchased for a bit less.....)
I've just notified Gearwire of what appears to be a ($2700) oversight/discrepancy and look forward to clearing up this final issue.
Gearwire has really been great thus far in all of this so I don't expect anything less than their utmost good faith and high level of business integrity.![]()
