Ok, I have been recording drum tracks with 2 scratch guitar tracks in Cubase 4. Recording was done at 48K and 24 bit. I am trying to export these damn songs so I can put them on CD. So I set the export to 44.1k and 16bit. It then tells me that an error occurred during mix down.

I have been searching all over and only see suggestions about the markers, I know they are correct. My Digimax is connected to me RME multiface sound card and I have been using the Digimax to set the sample rate. I noticed when I set it to 44.1, it allows me to export, but the song is now slower.

I saw also I could convert the project to 44.1, but then wondered if that would compress my audio files or something and I wouldn't be able to get it back to 48 and continue recording.

Can anyone help me with this?

'm not entirely sure how to solve the problem, but as a workaround maybe try exporting at whatever sample rate/bit depth the project is at, and then see if you can convert that file down to 44.1/16bit.

I had the same problem with one of my tracks.....somehow when i saved some changes the sample rate in the project file itself changed from 44.1 to 48.....when i would play the track its was completely off......i tried all i could but no luck......i had to start from scratch......

Maybe u can go into the pool of that project folder. Then export each sound file into a new project.
