Help CUBASE 5: vocals suppressing beat after export?

everytime i mix vocals to an mp3/wav beat, it sounds great in the software but when i export and listen to the song with a music player the vocals suppress the beat when they come in, making the beat come up at the beginning, seem slightly faint when vocals kick in, then come up again at the ending after the vocals are done. Anybody with experience that can give me tips or tell me what i'm doing wrong??

How have you "mixed" this tune? Tell us what you've done, as well as post a clip....
 
Sounds to me like you have a limiter on the output bus and you have slammed hard!! Screenshots will also help along with clips.

I was gonna say this. I use Cubase 5 and I don't have that problem--unless I have a limiter on the final output that I'm not monitoring in the mix process. Follow the advice above, get 10 posts so you can post a link, and like Chili said, a screenshot might help.
 
Thanks for the response guys. finally got done with the 10 posts (thanks jimmys69) and can finally post a copy of the song, here Escape.mp3 it's of hip hop genre. i am new to this so feel free to tell me anything you noticed or pass on tips.

Now to answer some quick questions above all in one, yes i actually do have a limiter on the master output. Below is how i processed the vocals.

after panning and EQing i added the FF in the insert slots

DeNoiser (default)
Gate (clean loud vox)
GAC1 compressor (master mix)
DeEsser (male, autothreshold)
Monodelay
limiter (mastering light peak limiting)

Then i added FX channels and sent the vocals through the FF reverbs

Verses: Roomworks (room roomour)
Chorus: Roomworks (hall arena)

Then on the mastering pane inserted the FF

limiter (mastering-light peak limiting)
Ozone 5 (3 band master-tighten low ends)
stereo enhancer (mastering light spread)
maximizer (rock lead vox)

Then i exported.
 
Hi Page,

I'm a beginner too, but it sounds to me like the compressor on the master track is too heavy, I would pull it back significantly so it's just barely flattening out the levels. Also, I think you need to adjust the EQ on your vocals and drums. On the drums I would pull back the 1800 to 2200 frequency range by about 2 db and on the vocals increase the same frequencies by the same. This should sort of layer the frequencies of these channels so they don't interfere with each other so much.

I hope this helps although as I said, I'm only a beginner too, so somebody else with more experience here could come along and tell you I'm wrong.
