Help choosing these audio interfaces.

mucis procedure
Hi guys,

im having hard time choosing these audio interfaces that ive found. One of my criteria is it should be just a pretty straight forward audio interface 24/96. No added features like onboard fx,eq or comp, no built in control surface, or any added stuff, just audio interface with at least 8 inputs either mic pre instrument or line or combination. could be usb or firewire. my budget is around 500-700 dollars.

currently looking at

MOTU 8pre

Presonus Forestudio

M-Audio Profire 2626


any other suggestion is accepted, thnx

PS, reason for straight forward audio interface is that ill probably buy those other stuff separately. eq com lim control surfaces
 
hey man I have been using the 8pre for a year now on pc and cubase no troubles with it at all, but you must also keep in mind of what software you want to use or think you will want to use. We all know how popular pro tools is so if you are into that go with the m audio and get m powered pro tools, but if you dont mind using cubase or etc, then really these are all game.
 
I would go with the firestudio. Looks like it has way more routing capabilities.
