Not sure if this is the right forum (admins feel free to move to the right place) but... I was in jail (OCJ for skipping a payment on a payment plan) and in the holding pen there was a guy who could hit his chest and it resonated like a bass drum. It was unbelievable. This has been about 15 years and I have never been able to figure out how he did it. I have tried holding in a huge breath (don't remember him doing that but more empty space means more resonance) but nothing works. We were in the holding pen so he didn't have anything that he could use to trick us. He sung, rapped and beatboxed. Never seen anything like it before or since and I cannot even come close to reproducing the sounds. Can anyone help?
