HI - I am new to this and was playing around with the controls and accidently archived a track on Cakewalk's Music Creator 2002. Is it gone forever? Figures it happened on the main track and not one of the ones i could easily do over. Thanks in advance. Patti

I archive tracks after I`ve submixed them all the time. It is not permanent. Im not familiar with Music creator, but in Sonar there is an option in the toolbar up top that will give you a choice of archive or unarchive. The archived track has to be selected prior to clicking on "unarchive track". Maybe this will help you. The help file in Music Creator should explain it as well.

In sonar the shortcut to arhive/unarchive is 'M'. Maybe it works...

I GOT IT BACK!!!

Thanks, Guys! The help file did not tell me how to get it back..and i read it for hours...but you guys did and thanks..too bad it did not sound near as good to me this morning as i thought it did last night though... ;-) Thanks again! Patti :)

My way of doing it,click the track bar and uncheck archive.

Other ways around this, drag the clip to another track or copy/paste it to another.
But the first way seems to be the easiest to me.

... I thought she meant that she had accidentaly hidden the track...

I hid a TRACk, too

But eventually found out how to get it back in the help section........ LOL! Thanks for all your help.. I have another question that probably should be on a new thread -- but -- i have 2 guitar tracks and now i want to add the vocal but the vocal has an echo so i can't hear that and sing too ....... any suggestions? If i don't hear the guitars then I can't sign either.. or at least one of the guitars. ... thanks for all your help! patti

You need to turn off Input Monitoring.

Go: Options -> Audio -> Input Monitoring and de-select any driver that's colored blue. :)
