Hi there, first post here. Recently purchased a Fostex B16 and a Tascam 22-2, never used tape before and so a complete novice really.
The Fostex B16 appears to be in pretty good condition and not had too much use over the years I was told. I have cleaned the tapeheads and other parts and demagnetized the heads. I recorded to a couple of the tracks to test it out and it plays back pretty well apart from on the first channel; there is a 'very' high pitch frequency that is just about audible. I read that the erase head emits a high frequency, could it be something to do with that perhaps?
Also, I am struggling to find a copy of the Tascam 22-2 manual if anyone would be good enough to share maybe?
Thanks very much,
Mike
