Hey all,

I bought a pair for M1Active 520's recently, and they have been working fine. I live in the UK so the powerswitch was set to 230V by default. I decided to try the 115 option (as my common sense told me this wouldn't do any damage to it?) to see if I could save power. This may have been a big mistake on my part. I turned them back on and there was no power, so I figured I'd put it back to 230V (no warning signs of any malfunction). However, even when I switched back to 230V, they still wouldn't turn back on.

Panic ensued.

Any suggestions? I've tried switching kettle leads but to no avail.

There probably is a fuse on the power supply that has blown. You are going to have to take the backs off and have a look.

I should have mentioned, I have a pair of these as well. If you are uncomfortable taking the back off, let me know, and I can take pictures of the procedure and what to look for.

do you have the red switch at the back of the monitors set to 220-240v? thats the only thing i can see on the back of my own pair that would cause any problems when playing with electricity,

Fixed!

Turns out the sudden burst in incoming power fried the fuse in the back of the main unit (not the one in the kettle lead). Got that replaced and it was completely fine.

Thanks everyone for your help :). I think I learnt my lesson.
