Just posting to invite replies from others who share my fate. I have so few people to talk to about all this stuff that have a clue what I'm talking about.(What's a compressor, dear?) I'm building a project studio to do the basic tracks and rough mix for my first CD.
My interests involve clean vocals with men and women singing together, with a combination of acoustic and electric instruments.
folk, blues, rock, with a Celtic twist. On the acoustic side, imagine Crosby, Stills, and Nash with *girls*. On the electric side, think Heart/Fleetwood Mac. Somewhere in between, it will sound like old Jefferson Airplane.
Just hoping I can get an e-dialougue going with anybody with similar interests. If you want to see the whole equipment list, check me out on the home studio registry on line at guitar9. Also,
as I said there, where are the women? 880 home studios on line
there, *all owned by men!!! Is this home recording thing testosterone based or what? Thanks-Richie

Hi Richard

Welcome to HR...

I aint no expert but, I share your grief....

"Honey....I thought a Bridge was over a river???"

We are neighbors to boot...
I am northeast of you near Andover...

again, welcome to HR...it is a good place to learn...

I think most women, our wives in paticular, prefer to listen to music, but not make it...
