hey all, realised I registered for this forum a few years ago but then never posted.!

Heavily getting into home recording again now so thought I should log back in to see whats going on.

I'm a guitarist primarily who also plays bass & drums. Vocals - very limited.!

recroding gear, I have a Zoom MRS1608 multitrack, SM58, M-Audio Nova condenser mic, and a presonus tube preamp. Not a great deal really, but I'm getting there slowly.

I think my next gear buys will be a Sennheiser e609 mic and another valve preamp (studio projects VTB-1). Some monitors woul be nice too..:)

Also thinking of getting some software to mix tracks from the Zoom, however there's too much out there and I'm confused what to get!!

Reaper is often recommended round here... $40US and it's fully featured... with the AUD at an all time high, well worth it...

you got it around the wrong way . . . Australia is the top of the world, and everywhere else is at the bottom.

Well, I am a 1 eyed Fremantle Dockers supporter, no surprises there.

Oh and yes we are at the top of the world not down under, there is not up or down in space.
