hello all of u..i 'm too new to this bbs with i really think is ggGGGGrreatTT !!keep on ...
ok here is my problm : i've purchased a behringer 2004A eurorack mixer last week, and i noticed that when routing a signal into any of the inputs(mono or stereo..) and muting this track by mute button(this routes the signal of this track to alt34 outs) the signal is still hearable in the main trs outputs,or in the control room outs(while the 3-4 to ctrl room button is desactivated)
what i mean by "hearable" is really really at lower level, and just notice this when ALLLLL the concerned faders are puched to max (the track where i run the signal, main outs faders)and also puching the monitors(cheap 40w alteclansing) to max !
this normally should not be like that!!
i have also noticed that when fading the main faders or the track fader, the lower level signal is no longer heard...i know i can find workaround to this ,but i don't think it's logical !!so I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF IT'S JUST MINE ,OR IF IT'S A CUMMON PROBLEM TO ALL MX2004A mixers????
to all 2004a users, put a signal into a stereo track, route thsi track to alt34 outs and puch the track fader,3-4 fader and main mix faders to max, don't route the 3-4 to ctrl room, but even listen by main mix outs or ctrl room outs, and see if you hear the signal..???no???puch the monitors volume to higher level..now ????
i got this mixer to be able to record one guitar signal(3-4 ones)whyle still listening to all others(synths and sound modules..)routed to ctrl room mixed with the 3-4 one ....with this issue,a little little portion of the main mixes will be recorded with 3-4 ...
thanks for help, and excuse me for this lonoonnnnnnng msg...

If it makes you feel any better, I performed the experiment you suggest on the MACKIE 1202 VLZ PRO, and even on that, the sound of the track is slightly audible on the main outs when the channel is assigned to ALT 3/4 and all the faders and gains are fully maxed. It is very faintly audible, but audible, so there is some leakage.

I think the main thing to realize is that there is some level of crosstalk in all audio equipment. One usually never operates it with everything fully maxed ! I wouldn't worry unless you can hear it with all the faders and gains at their halfway points (0 dB on a Mackie), which is their intended operating point.

Hey Misterque ! Are we quick to criticize equipment if we know its cheap, and more willing to try to work around its "limitations" if we paid big bucks for it ? :)

Peace,
Rick
