heat and power

Hey everybody, I was just wondering about the antec sonata case. (380W) I will be installing 3 harddrives (7200) with amd64 3500+. Will the 380W be enough power for this machine and what about the heat build up in this mid tower size case.

I'd go for a bigger power supply, as for the heat make sure the harddrives have enough space between them and get the bigger case fans that are quieter and have good flow.

i'm running 420 watt power supply with 6 case fans and two hard drives with a 3000 O.C'ed amd...stays pretty cool. the fans are 80mm with 25db or less noise

anyone else have any good suggestions for cases and power supplies.

Take a look at the Thermaltake line. They make incredible cases and power supplies. Not to mention they have some pretty sharp looking stuff

If you look at most reviews of pc cases you will find that the power supply it comes with will fail soon. Some have failed with in a month and some never worked. Most of them are chepo's. Look for well respected PSU's.
