I picked up an Iomega Super DVD burner at Best Buy for $170 after a $30 rebate (we'll see if I actually get a check).

It burns and reads ALL formats of DVD. +/-, R, RW, RAM, CDR, CDRW. I was looking for one a few months ago and to get that compatability was well over $300.

DVD RAM is really sweet. The discs are more expensive but you can use it just like a harddrive and drag and drop files too it. I needed that because my Radar has a DVD RAM drive so now I can easily get huge projects back and forth to my computer and burn them on a regular DVD -R for archiving.

If you want a normal +/- drive, they can be had for about $130. However, if you have Radar or otherwise need DVD-RAM, that Iomega drive is a killer deal. Beware, I've heard very little good about Iomega burners... here's hoping it works out for you.

yeah get it registered or keep your warranty card

i bought an external cd burner and the jawn stopped working withing 90 days
