Heads for Analog 8tracks

Hi!
I am looking for a head for a Fostex A8 machine. Digital is getting so cheap that it becomes hard to be a tape enthousiast.. Anyone got one cheap?
I'm not in my beat financial times right now, so I'm counting carefully, the main dealers are asking for more than I think it is worth (UK£282.33 + VAT). I do not reckon too many peapole would be happy to pay that for it!

No, it would be cheaper buying a broken machine with a working head and using it for spares I guess.

8 track heads wanted

Hi! I considered that, but those I have looked at had worn heads anyway. I am hoping someone has one to spare, possibly having got rid of the machine long since.
It is also true that any 1/4onch 8 track record head would be good. Anyone?

this is a musicshop called musikborsen.
they have a used A-8 for sale, about 180 US dollars.

Give them a call and ask if you can have just the head shipped over to you. or the whole taperecorder if you like.

Hope this is better than nothing .
