headphones...

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this or not, but I was just wondering if you guys could tell me the BEST BUY for headphones. I am wanting some nice headphones with some clarity and a good mix.. so what is the best phones for the MONEY! lol... I am getting the Yamaha HS05M's so I want something that is going to sound close to that kinda clarity.

How is the isolation on those? My biggest problem was bleed when recording vocals..
 
I was looking at the ATH-PRO5V...my price range is about 100 bucks .. i guess i should have told you that lol. Are these good in anyones opinion? Ive used Audio Technica phones before and their products always seem to have a good balanced sound.

If you just want a set of isolation cans for tracking vocals "more me" hedphones do a great job and are built like a TANK.

What do you think about the HD280's? I want to get something good for iso. and tracking like that.. yet something that will give me a good playback too.
 
I'm with Harvey, I like my Sennies. Except, I would have to say that the isolation is better than average for closed backs in the same price range and audio quality. Sure you can get tighter fitting headsets but finding them that sound as good, your budget is going to expand. I can sit in the same room with our drummer reasonably comfortable. It's not like sitting in an iso room but with the headphone mix set up, it works for me and the sound is still quite true.
 
Well thanks for everyones help. I will have to go "listen" around i guess lol.. ive got alot of good input tho :)
