Better Than You
I have a pair of sony 7506, but need a couple of less expensive ones for other musicians to use as monitors while recording. I really don't want to spend $100 a pair, but they still have to sound good. Any suggestions on a cheaper pair that sounds close to the 7506? I could also use some suggestions on a decent pair of good isolation headphones for recording vocals.

For tracking, I have picked up a closed set at Radio Shack that i've had for 8 years. I paid $30 for them. THey sound very comarable to my AKGs. You don't need to spend $100-200 for every set of phones.

Sony V600s are cheap-ish, I have a pair and like the sound.

I actually like the Sennheser HD212's. They sell for around $50 and sound good to me.

I purchased a pair of the more expensive MoreMe cans and for tracking purposes, they do just fine. I wouldn't use them for editing or in place of a monitor however.

Try Havey's MoreMe the cheap ones are what like $20 with Shipping the fancy ones are $30 with shipping. I got a pair, and they are good for tracking, cheap and Harvey Gerst has a good replacement policy.

Check it out!
