Nope, not for what he wants to use them for. I'd go with the Sony 7506's, Sennheiser 280's, or the Beyer DT250's. Koss makes a nice open back set (which is also sold under the Radio Shack name) that's pretty comfortable, cheap, and smooth sounding. I think they're around $30 or $40.noisedude said:
