hello all,

I'm trying to decide between three headphones for tracking
vocals :

1. koss R90
2. AKG 414s
3. some Vivanco ones (i don't remmember the brand)

what do you say ???

thanx

I need good sound and as little bleed as can be from the headphones outside

Check the Harvey "cheap isolation headphones" thread. I'm buying some soon

Shave your head around your ears and get some Sony 7506s. Or maybe some Sennheiser HD280s.

thanx for the replies but i'm on the budjet and all the options you presented are way too expensive for me right now

can someone please put their opinion on the options I presented
?

i use audio technica ATH-M40fs, and i really like them... especially for $69.

I got a Sennheiser MDR-V600, which rock. Since they are closed head phones, there's no bleeding. Costs around 99 buxx.

rockem, why not just get the headphones from Harvey?
I think they're under $30 each shipped.
They should be fine for tracking.

Chris

I would recommend Senheiser HD280s. I've been using them for a while now and they are very impressive. I was using Sony for a long time, but now I wont go back, HD280s is the best for tracking.

I haven't tried the HD280's. I use the Sony 7506's. My only bitch about them is the shitty little coily cable, damn thing is always in the way. I can't move but two feet away from my mixer while wearing those things!

I've found the Ultrasone 650's to bury the Sennheiser 280's in terms of overall tone and lack of ear fatigue... shit, what am I saying... we have a ton of fuckin' 280's on the shelf and need to get them out of the shop... nevermind.
