Recorded some vocals on the weekend. Lot's of fun.

I ended up recording the first part totally dry. I then, took a break and developed a vocal effect (Cubase, POD Farm) that really sounded good.

When I recorded the next part, I had the new effect in the mix as I sang.

Is there a gererally excepted method of hearing yourself in the mix as you sing? Wet, dry, somewhere in between?

Any comments here?

Cheers,

No, there really isn't. Singers widely vary on this point - Some want to be completely drowned in way too much reverb and delay, some want themselves bone-dry. Some want themselves louder than all hell, and some don't want to hear themselves in their headphones at all. Experimentation is the only way to find what works best, in my experience.
