headphone amp?

i was wondering if that would be a good idea to have to maybe monitor till i get good monitors using my headphones? thoughts? suggestions? hatemail?

You don't need it. It's for plugging several pairs of headphones into the same source and making sure they are all getting enough power for a proper signal. You can plug your headphones straight into your VF80 for tracking. For mixing you will still want proper monitors.

P.S. I've noticed you posting quite a lot of questions recently. You really should try the search function. There's a wealth of good info here already, and a lot of it covering the very questions you've been asking. I don't want to sound like a dick or discourage you from being inquisitive, but a lot of this info is already here.

defnitely, thanks a lot, im sorry about that, its just i wonder about certain products, and that one seems to be not even out yet, so i was just wondering, but thanks a lot guys, ill keep them down.
 
I built one of these myself from schematics found on the Paia website... - It serves me and my mates well, and it sounds a lot better than most headphone amplifier outputs I've heard - especially Fostex. No matter how sophisticated their equipment, the still don't seem to get this particular detail right. Maybe it is like this in the Fostex R&D department: <Heavy japanese accent> "...- Well, nice headphone amp stage, Sensei, but we have to cut the costs somewhere..." :)
