*Headin for the Weeds -

my anti war rant.

the whole 'war' section in the middle, was a blast to come up with.
i just wanted cacaphony, and even tho i tried to impart some angst, it still comes off fairly groovy and proper, exactly opposite of what i was going for!
hehe, so i just went with it.

this was written about 5 years into the Iraq war.
another sony ACID drum track.

the drum groove was written for this song,
but i liked it so much, i have used it in a more recent song as well, one of my "formula One trilogy" songs, called "Silverstone".
 
HIGH GAIN HEAVEN on this one.

i taught myself how to control as much guitar gain as i could,
and it really isnt that much gain,
but it is saturated.

Yea, a lot of stuff, but I tried to arrange it so it all makes sense, and doesn't pile up.
There are certain guitar rhythm sections that I ran cleaner gain on to clarify the passage, then others where I went for the full saturation

That helped those certain elements

the whole album is pretty much on this same brainwave, for better or worse! LOL

this drum track, was written in Sony Acid, some years back.
i put together this groove, and just knew i'd do something with it,
and then sat on it for about 10 years.

it's just a single stereo wave file in 16 bit, so it's not all that sonics wise,
but it has a great energy.
