Last weekend the weather was crappy here so, I did some sessions with my 14 month old daughter - wouldn't normally post the result here, but it did turn into something of a mixing exercise for me, and I know I'm not done. Here's the mp3:
Most tracks are dry. I recorded the uke track that's panned about 75% left with the ACM-310 SDC tube mic from group buy -- I love the result. You'll also hear a parlor sized acoustic guitar in the right (SM81), a Little Tikes "tap-a-tune" toy (AT4033a), a bass, some midi instruments (including steel drums, regular drums, and pizzicato cello), and highly untrained vocals (SM-7 and Beta 57-a). I used a Black Lion Audio modified MOTU Traveler. For more background, you can visit this link:

I found myself actually doing some stereo placement, and I'm a total noob at it -- all comments are welcome (remember that if you insult the musicians, you're partially going after a 14 month-old girl
), but I'm particularly interested to hear comments regarding the mixing.
