having trouble with Mixing, need advice!

Hey guys ! second thread post here and my second Mix!

everything went smoth recording or so i think so i started mixing the song dont have any real mixing experiences I learned all i know from youtube and forum.

Anyways ! I want you to be brutally honest with me and tell me what sound wrong is it the sound it self or is it the mixing and focus on the vocals how can i get them to sond like magic ! :D

I put up two sound cloud samples one mix and one just vocals!

really need your advice ! so sock it to me :)

Spend 5 minutes learning how this place works.... get your 10 posts, and then post your stuff in the MP3 clinic down below, and someone might listen to it there for you...
 
Hey man,

I liked the overall sound of this mix. Especially when you say you don't have any real mixing experience.
What i miss in the sound is some low end. I don't feel the kick drum. It's a little hidden in the mix.
If you have access to some vocal tunning software the voice could benefit a little from it.

But good job overall.

The duplicate/harmony vox is killing it. Mute it out except when needed for impact. Overall the mix sounds kinda thin. My.02 as this style is not where my head is at. Are you using lots of compression? Sounds that way to me. De-esser might d-spit the high end.
 
I heard that i was using to much compression on some other forums and that my main bus comp was to high set for this mix, and my vox eq may be to much around 12k to mush sssss sounds :)
