I have a Roland elec. drumset. I have the stereo jacks connected to my interface and my tracks sound like shit..especially the kick and crash together. Pretty distorted....messed with the levels and it doesn`t really change much. How can I get a good sound? Anyone? thanks! Oh using Presonus Audiobox and Adobe Audition 3

Is it distorted throughout or only when you hit the kick and cymbals together?

Just record the midi and replace the sounds in the computer with a drum sampler....

Ha

HAHA! Yeah I know... that was fuckin funny BTW...yeah pretty much only the kick and its a little worse when I hit the crash with it...would it sound better if I bought a drum moniter and ran that signal in to my interface?

Sounds like a clipping issue. Lower the volume of your V-drums. I had to do the same thing when I recorded my V-drums.

Just lower the output volume to about half, and adjust the levels later in your DAW.

Yeah if it's only the bass drum then it is probably a clipping issue.

yep

yeah the leds show its clipping...but I turned down down the output level and it sounds fine but then when I try to adjust levels in my DAW its the same thing..clipping:confused:
