Having a few problems with my new setup (XP2500 Nvidia2)

Well i just setup my new PC and im experiancing a stupid little problem, im using Cool Edit Pro and when i hit play in my session it takes a few seconds to actually begin to play?

I have a new setup with

MSI Motherboard with the Nforce2 Chipset 128 memory bus 400FSB with an Athlon XP 2500 333MHZ FSB with 523 MB of PC3200 DDR. Im running Win2k Pro on a new 80 Gig 7200 RPM hard drive with an 8MB Cache.

Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Get a better soundcard intended for DAW use like the M-Audio Audiophile 2496.
 
would the delta 44 not be sufficiant? < thats what i have

Sounds like you need to lower your buffers.

What the delay is, is the time it take the audio to "preload"
The higher the buffer setting the more audio is preloaded into ram, thus your delay.

Just search in cool edit help to find where to lower your buffer setting.

Oh, there also might be a setting for your delta 44 card, not sure though, I've never had one.
