Guys,
visit Gaana.com all audio songs there are in .flv format. There size is much smaller than mp3s but still better in quality. How can i convert my mp3s to .flv audio format. I have tried a few converters and they add a blank video while converting from mp3 to .flv. Thanks in advance.
Rit

flv is a flash video. It's normal, that it adds a video when converting.
Is there a point why you want the files to be in flv format? mp3 is much more common and universal format.
Actually as you can read from the link below, the audio in flv format is usually encoded as mp3 so it makes no sense converting.

Flash Video - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

flv files with no video but only audio track are 2-3 times smaller in size as compared to mp3s

Flash files are just a container.

They have mp3 files inside them.

Just converting an mp3 to an flv is no magic solution.

shoot me 1-2 solutions pls. All the apps i found convert mp3 to flv with video track(blank) included which is much higher in size as compared to MP3s. I need to convert to flv with ONLY audio track.

shoot me 1-2 solutions pls.

A couple of solutions:

1 Forget about FLV. It is not necessary.

2 Use MP3s. They are universally used and you can adjust the quality of them according to your needs.

There is no need to complicate things unnecessarily.

Brother thats exactly opposite of what I have asked.
I am looking for the possible solutions. to make flv audio files

Guys, Waiting for the possible solutions pls.

You seem to be trying hard not to understand and are looking for a magic "solution" - there isn't one.

MP3 is a compression method. There are any number of different resolutions available within MP3 which will change the size of the file. Low res files are smaller than high res files. Saying an .flv file is smaller than an .mp3 file doesn't make sense because you're not saying what the resolution of the MP3 file you're comparing is. There's no "standard MP3 file". Geddit?

.flv is flash video format which will use a sound file, probably MP3 in some resolution or other, and then add an visual layer. If there's no visual layer then there's only the MP3 file there.

The audio component of a .flv file cannot sound better than the audio used to create it.

There's no point making .flv files unless you have a video to go with them. There is no magic solution.

Ok, let's tackle the problem a different way.

Why is it that you need to have an audio FLV file?

Its not magic. There exists .flv files which are audio only format. I have posted the link few posts back, in case u overlooked it. There is a site gaana.com which has all audio songs in .flv format.

Its not tackling the problem. It is diverting from the topic.

Still, I saw the .flv audio files and my curious mind says I need to know how is it done? I shall use them on broadcasts. So that i can upload them on my website. Using an MP3 file is an option. But before using MP3 as a format. I am willing to explore on the chances to convert to an audio track only .flv file.

It's not really diverting from the topic. It's trying to get an understanding of why you want to go down that path.

However, you can try this: Openworld FlashPresenter - MP3 To FLV Converter

Did you try google?

You're not listening. FLV is not an audio format. It simply holds together an audio file and a video file. The audio file is usually MP3, so when you 'convert' to FLV, there is actually no conversion, unless the quality of the MP3 is changed or it is converted to another audio format. If you convert audio between formats, or to another quality level of MP3, the quality can only go down.

However, if you want to plough ahead and buy a useless tool (a nominative term often reserved for myself!), you go for it.
