ok i use adobe audtion 2.0 and in the loopology there are drums but they arent custom to what i want, but there are also one shots in there to, so i was wondering how do you take those one shots and create your own beats, and have them all in time and tempo, cause i dont have an actual kit yet to record.or direct me to a site where i can obtain the information. thank you.

i'll try this but is it almost always a sperate software to create your own drums beats using digital one shot files, or can it be done i the actual tracking section of the recording program

I checked out that link and it looks cool. It's very similar to the way FL Studio(my preference for creating and editing drum tracks). It allows you to create your beats in "patterns" and arrange them a seperate window.

When you say you want to do it in the "regular" tracking section... I can only say that you should be a little more open minded about this. I used to do it the exact way that you're explaining and I know now that I was wasting SOOO much time. You need to be doing this using a midi sequencer in a piano roll. This is where your grid is for pasting and editing each drum note. Midi doesn't mean you have to use techno sounds or anything like that. You can use whatever drum sample you like and it will be sooo much easier than what you're trying to do.

Audition has a piano roll, but if you're going to be doing a lot of this, I would highly reccomend FL. Download the demo and try it out. Otherwise, get a vsti drum sampler to use with Audition, and use Audition's piano roll.

man you guys have been a huge help, thanks you so much i hope i can get to to help people with this., but if i do it in the tracks at least i can put the different drums in different tracks edit each one seperately and then mix them down, adobe 2.0 doesnt have piano roll i looked it said 3.0 has it also those tracks are .dtp and it wont let me use them in adobe 2.0 thanks again
