I'd like to thank the following people who saved me a couple hundred bucks by turning me away from acoustical foam and turning me on to rigid fiberglass. They also patiently helped me and several others find local distributors willing to sell small quantities of this semi-precious material. I just ordered two packs of Johns Manville 817 instead of blowing $400 on a roomful of Auralex.

Many thanks to Frederic, mshilarious, Ethan, vestast, Knightfly, Innovations, pdlstl, and ap.

Pas de tout! Did it work out at AC&R? I've wondered, because I work for a commercial contractor that buys from them in large quantity, but I don't know how they handle the little guy.

Speaking of cigars I just got a box of Hoyo de Monterrey (Maduro). Very good. $65 for box of 25 on the internet.

Although I didn't end up buying from AC&R, folks there were very friendly, helpful, and still happy to deal with me even after I admitted that I only wanted 144 square feet. I bought instead from McCormick in Owings Mills, Maryland because they were offering Johns Manville 817 at 6 pcf density, whereas AC&R offered me IS-300 at 3 pcf. I'd recommend either company. McCormick even called me today just to give me an update on where the shipment is right now. I wouldn't think that a small fry like me would get that kind of customer service.

AC&R? What does the acronym stand for?

TIA, lol :D
