Have a bunch of sm58's do I need a sm57?

I have a bunch of sm58's that I have been using for snare drum and guitar cabs. I also happen to have an Audix i5 which I sometimes use on snare. Is it worth going out and buying an sm57 with all those 58's laying around?

...57's are generally better for cab and drum micing than 58's...even on some vocal types, the 57 has a different vibe which suits some voices better...check out this thread for a great alternative to the Shures (cheap!)...

I would buy 1 57 for the snare and anything else you may feel sounds better with 57 besides one the rest having 58s are fine.

Just take the metal dome off and it becomes a 57!
