I'm just asking because if mine does, it would be really really difficult to replace or service (since there is no retailer of the soundcard locally where Im from). In any case, has anyone here who uses an AP 2496 ever had the experience of it breaking down? How long was it from purchase until it did and how intensively was it used?

Thanks!

Never broke down on me.. I've had it for two years or more, and it gets usage every day.

I used one for 3 years intensively....never a problem. Now a buddy of mine I sold it to, uses it everyday for about 6 months now...still kickin !;)

Mines been at least 2 1/2 years of constant use without a hiccup.....knock on wood.......

no worries!

I have mine for more than a year now, solid as a rock! :)

soundcard very rarely breakdown.... once installed, it is supposed to stay there and does what it does....

A good motherboard will also ensure that you'll have minimal problem. :)

Im missing out there......mines in a cheapo HP Pavillion 500mhz Celeron.......:p

btw, if you guys use stuff like POD, do you still let it go through a mixer then let it line out to the Card or do you use the line outs straight from the POD to the Card. I mean, the signal from the POD is at line level right? Just the right kind for the AP's inputs?

Proccessors in general have enough output to direct connect to the AP.
