Sup peeps,

Just curious if anyone has any experience with this product.I really like to get away from these video cards and get something simple like this, but need your help to make sure i'm not making a mistake.

Click me :O)

Peace

Never even seen that before, but it's a cool idea. I'd check some of the websites where you can buy it and see if there's any user feedback.

um, your making a mistake.

Look at a matrox dual head, they should be dirt cheap and are great for dual setups and have low bus usage. Beyond that, you will be hard pressed to find a modern video card without dual heads these days

I can see having a nightmarish time with a USB video adapter since a)its USB which is not even close to having the bandwidth of even a PCI slot and will bottle neck b)all your processing for the extra desktop space will probably be done by your CPU (vs the video card) which is not good.

For DAW stuff, a G450 32meg card will work fine and you can find one for about $10

/\ yeah thats what i needed to hear,thanks.Now where can i get that G450 for $10 ?

:D

G450

Would the G450 look decent and work with a fairly new built computer running an AMD processor?

Oh sure.

Its pretty much designed for 2d environments and I have been running them on two differnent machines here at the office for several years with no problems (mainly used a graphics and CAD stations). You can get something modern but most cards today are geared toward 3d gaming, which is not something you wand to use as a DAW anyway, so a solid matrox is about as good

The only thing I would check though is to make sure that your motherboard supports the older AGP cards (check the matrox and motherboard spec sheets) or just post your MB model and I can look it up
