EARLIER POST IN ERROR - MODEL IS PX-780, NOT 750
I see that the PX-780 has a Midi In jack and Midi Out jack, as well as USB. This is an advantage over the Yamaha DXP-650, which the best I can tell only has the ability to save files to midi or communicate in a limited way with iOS devices, but can't really as a substitute for a controller in a home recording studio.
I am a novice who doesn't really understand midi features to know if the PX-780 actually offers me the benefit of not having to buy a separate controller to play the sounds on an iMac (garageband, Native Instruments Komplete, etc). Does anyone own one of these that has used it as a controller?
(couldn't edit subject line in prior post that was in error)
Thanks
