I'm looking to do some direct guitar recording into my pc and am considering the v-amp or the j-station (because the pod is too expensive). I've searched this board and it seems no one really commented on the quality of the v-amp. I know its $129 and the j-station is $149. I was leaning toward the v-amp but I just need to hear some reviews from you guys.

You may be better off posting this question on the Guitar & Bass thread - I have not tried the V-Amp (I do have a Pod and a J-Station). - I would like to hear feed back on the V-Amp as well.

I can tell you the J-Station is very decent - I like the Pod a little better - but for the cost the J-Station does the job well - the bass amps sound good (the accoustic simulation is weak - but I've tried simulations from just about everyone, and none really do accoustic well).

I'd go for the J-Station simply on the strength of the digital output. Unfortunately I'm suspicious about any Behringer product until they've been out there for six months or so.;)

v-amp

I just bought a V-amp so I could record without the noise from my cab. It is a blast to play with.

I am very happy with it so far, although I have only used it for recording on three diff tracks(clean, dist, dist efx), but, whatever sound I needed, I have got. I recommend it highly for those of us on a budget.
