Has anyone ever posted a demo on here and went on to commercial success?

Where are the old-timers, wheel them out, dust the cobwebs off them...

If any pro or semi-pro engineers have worked with an artist and used Hr.com it'd be fun to hear about it. :)

I don't know if he's famous or not, but a few years ago (I've been a member for a while - hell half the guys I used to know aren't even on here any more - or at least I don't see their names around like S8-N) MrLip had a song on here called "Wait" that had MTV and Radio hit all over it. It was like a Rock Ballad. And Let me tell you, he's got a great voice as well. ;)

Jesus, it just dawned on me - I've been a member here for 5 years!

Kafer maybe ???
Have to say I'm still trying to figure out what happened there. Researched it a bit and am still vacillating about who I think he really is. Anybody know by chance...? There are some pretty obvious connections with past posters and other online mp3’s w/similar vocal sound, but I’m not sure if that’s it or whether the real poster was just playing that to advantage as another witty angle to his appearance here. Whoever he really is, it's pretty amazing he posted here IMO.

The guitarist from the band Copeland posted some of his recordings here a few months back. They tour the US pretty often. Kinda big.. not stadium-big.. but big.

Ok... ok...

I used to sing in a R&B group called Ideal...

Our video made it to late night runnings on B. E. T.

We where a one hit wonder and I blame it all on a group called 112 because our sounds were so similar. (okay I'm lying about this one)

Heres one that is true...

The guy in my sig used to be in a rap group called Gurrilla Mabb with a now famous rapper (at least locally) named Z-ro.

So I guess you can say famous but not at the moment and I've posted more than a couple of his songs in here.
