Has anyone ever used the Art DPS Di/o with delta 1010

I was thinking about getting an Art DPS Di/o for recording in my vocals and guitar, and I wanted to use the spdif on my delta to do this, so I could make use of all 10 channels, since I use all the other 8 ones for micing my drums, anyway, has anyone got a setup up like this or similar?

and a second question can I run the digital out from the delta to the Art DPS and then back into the delta's digital in and add tube to already recorded tracks?

I am currently considering this very option.
Anyone tried it yet?
A google search on the di/o shows a hugely favorable response from the audiophile crowd, of all people.
Sure is cheap enough, perfect at least for something like toms or scratch tracks, the extra 2 inputs would be invalualbe right now.
