I'm getting a new laptop, and while I don't expect to do any serious recording on it, I'd like a half decent sound card. Did anyone compare it to regular built in crap they have in most laptops (I'm getting a Thinkpad)?

Based on that description, would say its better than the audio cards input. And at a reasonable price. Its probably worth a try.
