Ok first I'm a 19 yr old guy. My chest voice vocal range is A1-Bb4 (rarely a B4) and I want to be able to hit the famous C5 in chest voice. I believe I'm a baritone and there are baritones e.g. Kenny Terry who can hit very high like c#5 and very low (in chest voice). Before my VERY CRUEL voice break (2008), I could hit beyond F5 (again in chest voice NOT MIXED or Head voice). How long does it take you to increase your chest voice notes. I know the risk involved in pushing to hard and I also know there is a peak where you can't increase it again.

Watch this video were Kenny (the bass singer) hits a c#5 in his chest voice.
(sorry can't include the video link.. it has to be 10 post) :(

It's either you or this guy that has the misconception of a chest voice. But judging from his history, I think it's most likely you. I quote from him, "the chest voice is used to make sounds richer in the lower range". and also, it's just not humanly possible for a baritone to go F5 in chest voice. The range you're at now is the normal chest-range for a baritone. I'm the highest tenor in my choir and I have chest range (without belting of Bb4.

" Chest voice is the tone of speaking voice. The deeper, fuller sound. Belting is when one brings the chest register into higher notes where they would naturally change to head voice. That is the technique that pretty much all pop stars use most of the time. Here are some examples of chest voice/belting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g4ekwTd6… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMhstM6nR… (It's a girl in my school and she's a real, true belter)." So you either are talking about belting, or are thinking of a F in a different octave.

wow! If you're going to copy and paste something someone said in a site, at least you should provide the reference to where you got it from.
NOt a single word has been changed! Not even a 'fullstop'! Whoever posted this must be ashamed of himself. This is impersonation at it's peak! SMDH

My best "personal" advice, join a choir, and sing with them regularly. It's the best way to train your voice. Then personal/solo singing comes much easier.
