Didn't you say at one time that this mic has the same capsule as a SM-57? Or am I thinking of a different mic? The one you said was used on the Thriller album?

If you check Harvey's site you'll see the console is an MCI 500 - very different beast to the 600 series that came out later and was full of problems. I had a 500 at Music Farm and it was a top console in it's day. 1979! The automation required you to record the data onto two tracks of the 24 track. Harvey notes that his is automated - have you modified your setup to avoid the using two audio tracks for data??. The MCI is still at Music Farm and has been totally overhauled with new caps etc. I would love to know if you can jazz up the automation............. Harvey??
