Hardware to Export DR-670 Songs

Hi there,

I'm a newbie so I apologise in advance if I have this post in the wrong forum.

I've got a DR-670 drum machine in which I have recorded several songs. I was wondering if there is a way to retrieve the song files from the DR-670.
The DR-670 only has MIDI IN and MIDI Out and I'm thinking that I maybe need to connect it to something like the BR-1200 recording studio using these MIDI connections.

Would this work or is there some other hardware that I would need, please?

The DR-670 has left and right audio output jacks. If you want to record the audio, you need to send those output signals to the inputs on a stand-alone recorder, or into the line ins of an audio interface to your computer (or god forbid, the line ins on your computer's soundcard).
You could record the MIDI control signals to any device/DAW that records MIDI by connecting the MIDI out to a suitable MIDI input on an interface or recorder. MIDI is not sound.
 
I must be an idiot not to have thought of using the left and right audio jacks! Thanks Mike - that will give me plenty to think about.
