Legend in Own Mind
Hi all,

This thread may be better suited for the Mixing forum, my apologies if I've got the wrong board.

I'm wanting to apply some reverb to vocals. I have been playing with the reverbs that come with Sonar 2XL and cannot find anything I like. However, I have a Rocktron Intellifex LTD in my guitar rig that has reverbs I do like. I was thinking about running the tracked vocals through my mixer and back to the PC so I can add reverb using the Intellifex. Is this a good idea? Will it degrade the sound quality (if so, alot or a little)?

If this is a good idea, I assume I would just need to record the vocals to a new track in Sonar? I'm using Win XP, Audiophile 2496, and a Behringer 8 channel mixer.

Thanks in advance!

In my not so humble opinion, it's a great idea. My setup is a hybrid where I can use software and hardware at the same time and like you, I find most of the plug in reverbs lacking.
