Hello - I am using my computer strictly as a recording tool. All of my effects are rack hardware equipment. I have a Presonus Firestudio Project interface and I want to use a TC Electronic Compressor (C300). How and where do i connect the C300 ? Do i need a mixer ? I'm terrible at connecting stuff - whats the best way to connect my C300 and M-ONE XL so that various instruments can have access to these signal processors ? I don't have a mixer... is a mixer necessary ? thanks for all of your help... i realize these questions are incredibly simplistic to some of you more experienced people out there... thanks in advance.

Without reading the manual... which I strongly suggest you do, and having a minimum of info on what you're trying to record... I'd say that you should be able to loop the output of one channel though the compressor to the input of the next channel if you require the preamp built in the firestudio. The firestudio also looks to have two sends and returns and could be utilized for the same purpose if the return is applied fully wet to the compressed channel (not the right way to do it, but it will work)

The M-ONE belongs on the send/return loop
