Harder piece of rock...

AFTER the intro it sounds like a standard NWOBHM song.
Not bad - the bass chuggs nicely in the riffier bit.

i like the solo bit and the accoustic with the delay.

nice job but i feel that everything sounds a bit dull, like it all went through the same low pass filter? hard to describe since it really all is a matter of taste but it's lacking a certain sparkle/brightness?
are you planning on doing vocals on it?

NWOBHM?? ..oh, new wawe of brit heavy metal??..
Not very sure is that a criticism or a compliment? :D

It IS a bit dull, my ears must've tired out in mixing..
Saddest thing is that i MUST HEAR THE SONG THROUGH LIKE A 20-50 TIMES DURING DRUMPROGRAMMING, (shit, caps lock) and often forget to take a break before mixing.

Man, I wish I had someone singing..
Actually, I've got offers from two singers, if I ever start a band with these..
But I'm not gonna bother them to these "demo"-versions.

I've got some pretty close presets in my gear by now, some tweaking..
Apart from dullness are the balances OK?

i just gave it another listen and the bass guitar is too bass heavy so it doesn't stand out in the mix (maybe do the old cut 250 boost 800 trick?)
the cymbal in the right channel in the intro is way too loud and so is the solo guitar (in the first part, second one seems ok.) there also is a weird click (?) in the guitar in the outtro.

good tune. what do you use for drums?

Could do with some cleaning up to make it brighter. Could be your monitors. Do you have trouble with your lo mids and/or highs atall?

The break sounds nice.

Tried to mix it again for no avail.. Can you hear the faint crackling in the mix?.. I do, and I think its coming from the mp3-conversion, and when I try to kill it with compression it "dulls" the sound.

..is it just my monitors?

..should I compress on the tracking?

..prolly should learn to EQ..

I monitor from Beyerdynamic DT770-headset. ..Best I can do at home.. :(
My puter also gives out noise when rendering or computing otherwise.

I use Beatcraft for drums.
Oh, the acoustic part is played twice, no delay. :)
