hard disk update...1680

Hi,

I'd like to replace the 2Gb drive in a 1680 with a 10Gb drive.

What's the procedure?
DO I need to install the OS on the new drive after it's installed?
Caveats?

Check www.vsplanet.com in the Roland VS section. There are whole threads containing detailed instructions on exactly how to upgrade the HD. Don't bother with 10G - you can get a 20G for around $150, and even though you will only be able to use 16G (8X2G partitions), the extra space is worth it. There are even lists of suppliers of the 20G drives.

VSPlanet was unknown to me. Thanks a 1,000,000...
I have a 12Gb IBM drive on hand, so I'm gonna use it. I paid $150US$ a few months ago for a 20Gb drive for a laptop, but it turns out the laptop drive was under warranty.......so the 20Gb is in the laptop & the 12Gb goes in the VS...
