I've been away from a computer for a while (dang military), but I hope you all had a nice Holiday Season, and a Happy New Year.

You've all been very supportive of my musical endeavors so far, so I have a new song to throw at you, and I think you'll like it...a bit different than you usually hear.

it sounds good man. i rly like your vocal style, it reminds me a lot of death cab for cutie in that song, which def isn't a bad thing. i like the other 2 songs you had on your site. especially the second one, lot's of emotion, gj. keep it up!

Listening as I type, typing as I listen...

Nice big, intimate feel. I feel like I'm in the room with the band. I really like the sound on your drums. Sampled or did you record them?

The groove is obviously very mellow, but it's textured enough to hold my interest. The guitar parts evolve--even slightly--but it creates a nice motion. Nice ending--stark but effective.

Very cool. Story behind the lyrics?

Haha, thanks for the feedback.

Caught red-handed, the drums are Roland DR-880. I usually add more "humananity" to the drums and spend a lot of time programming different veolcoties and not so "loop-oriented" but I liked the repetitive nature and simplicity of how they were on the scratch track I was working with, so I kept them pretty much the same.

The story? Sort of an overall acceptance of having lost someone close...the gradual but not complete transition from "where do I begin to get through this" to "Okay, I'll be all right...someday."
